museum website: www.chichu.jp Museum Hours March 1 to September 30 - 10 am to 6 pm (last entry by 5 pm) October 1 to the end of February -10 am to 5 pm (last entry by 4 pm) (Closed on Mondays, and December 30 to January 2) *Open on Mondays for national holidays, but closed the following day. Open from April 29 to May 5 and August 13 to 15. *The museum is temporarily closed for maintenance from June 23 to 30, 2008 and January 13 to 19,2009. Admission: 2,000 yen/ Free (under 15 years old) NB. There is a limit to the number of admissions per day. (You may have to pick up a "Numbered Ticket" at the Chichu Art Museum Ticket Center in order to purchase an "Entrance Ticket"). Check website for details. Getting there: Directions From Tokyo via flight About 3 hours and 30 minutes via Takamatsu Airport -From Takamatsu Airport to Takamatsu Port, take bus or taxi for 40 minutes. -From Takamatsu Port to Naoshima, take ferry for 1 hour. From Tokyo via Shinkansen About 5 hours via Okayama Station -From Okayama Station to Uno Port, take bus, JR train or taxi for 50 minutes. -From Uno Port to Naoshima, take ferry for 20 minutes.
